If AP is not in the teams plans get a 1st rd pick for him. Ill bet San Diego would do the deal in a heartbeat as they a running game away from winning the AFC....Youll have two 1st rd picks and a 2nd to enter with an can move up if need to be for the impact player you want. 1.)Get a #1 WR who is a polished route runner. Patterson is a poor mans Harvin right now. Hes a complimentary WR and an outstanding KR but hes not Megatron and Teddy needs a Megatron so go get that WR. 2.)Grab a DE that can rush the passer. Trade Robison for a mid rd pick and get some new blood in here. We are missing Allen and Robison is just not cutting it. 3.) Replace AP with a starting caliber RB, one that has power and speed, can catch and that can carry the load and use McKinnon as a change of pace back. Get someone in the mold of Matt Forte in the 2nd rd. He does all of those things for Chicago. Consider signing BJ Raji or Sign a veteran CB that can start. Not a slot CB, an outside CB. Captain is a slot guy. This depends on the development of Sharrif Floyd and Josh Robinson. Floyd has flashed a pass rusher but has been shaly against the run...lets see how he does the rest of the year. Sign a legit OG to repace Charlie Johnson. Sign a legit Safety to replace Blanton and also draft one behind him for the future. Teddy & Cassel will be the top QBs (let the best man and the other be the #2) but get a legit 3rd string option that can eventually become a #2. Draft a QB in the 4th rd. He might have to play (as we found out this year) and he cant be worse than Ponder. Thoughts?
