If France is planning to fight this war like US did in the after-math of 9/11 1) more civilians mostly muslims anticipated to be lost again in this rebuttal. 2) extraordinary amount of finance anticipated to be spent leading to another recession in the world market. 3) very poor results in terms of curbing down terrorism as seen from the strategy of US/NATO which actually accelerated terrorism instead of decelerating it. I have always believed that French are a smarter race. The entire French revolution is an open example of this. So, by adopting the failed strategies that have been time-tested, I anticipate French will disprove my conviction that they are smarter relatively. Having said that, the best way to fight IS/AlQaeda/Terrorism is by taking their oomph away or in other words, their audience away. In other words, making civilians residing in IS-attacked areas the strength of this war instead of making them the collateral damage will be the key to the success of any further action. The question is how to make them the strength & eradicate IS? 1) Unite the potential recruits irrespective of their faith & sect against IS. 2) IS uses religion to support its cause. Its recruits are vulnerable muslims with weak faiths. Send missionaries & Imams in these sensitive areas that preach the right Islam & bring these weak-faith carriers back on the track. 3) To cut down ISs supply chain, all arms dealers must be prosecuted 4) To starve IS, do not let anyone buy their oil. The oil that is making them stronger every day is the key to bring them down. Cut their fuels. No money for their fuel means no rations means weakness. If possible, use support on the ground by local civilians to get the fuel reservoirs back from them.
