If Gerrard does move to LA Galaxy the reasons could be: 1) Gerrard doesnt want to settle for a bench role and still wants to play football week-in week out. Very likely this is the reason. Many club legends had made such a move in the past. Raul Gonzalez, Henry, Del Piero, Lampard and etc. Though Id love to see Gerrard retire in our shirt, players have targets for themselves. 2) FSG are not known for offering big money contracts to ageing players. At 35 years old, on a bench role, even after taking a 50% wage cut, FSG may feel it is still a lot of money to pay for a player just because he has the reputation. The owners with their strict transfer and contract policies, will never sanction that. Another reason why Reina and Agger were willingly allowed to leave. They were ageing, had no resale value, and they were on big wages. #Shawnred
