If God is already with us, why do we say or sing songs about waiting for help to come. Help is already here. God has been helping you before you even got in that mess. Yes some messes are messier than others but you have no clue how much more messier it would have been if you actually had to wait for help. And you have no clue on how many messes you avoided because your help was already with you. The unavoided messes are the messes that help us. Thank God through your messes because He is with you. Praise God that you do not have to wait for Him to save you, because He already has. You do not always see the end result until LONG after the calm has settled. I am so thankful that God has been with me for every hard time in my life. Even when I felt alone, He let me know He was with me. And every time my heart felt hopelessness, He built my hope back up again. Never lose sight of who is truly with you and who has never left you. There is only one. And it AINT yourself.
