If I could ask for some assistance on behalf of Food4Kids. I was on a United Way of Milton SEEING IS BELIEVING tour and was touched by Leslie Hudson Salisburys empassioned presentation. Food4Kids provides packages of healthy food for kids aged 5-14 years with limited or no access to food each weekend. Packages of healthy food are prepared by volunteers and delivered to schools each Friday to ensure children have nourishment over the weekend. If you would like to donate food items or volunteer, contact Mary Anne at [email protected] or Facebook PM. To donate monetary please visit food4kids.ca. HERE IS WHAT THEY NEED: 1. Fruit Cups: Pears, Pineapple, Mixed fruit or applesauce (packed in juice… not syrup) 2. Cereal Bars: Kellogg’s All Bran Bars, Granola Bars (nut free) 3. Protein: Chicken Noodle Soup, Stagg Chili (Easy Open), Campbell’s Soup at Hand, Chunky Soup. 4. Snacks: Pudding cups, Goldfish crackers (snack size), Raisins or Cran-raisins ( snack boxes) 5. Fresh Fruit: Bags of apples , Box of Clementine oranges, Bananas [On Wednesdays / Thursday accepting Fresh Fruit donations so it can keep fresh for the weekend] 6. Donate through Food4kids.ca 7. Any demonization gift cards to local grocery stores to purchase food items for the children. THANK YOU, sincerely!!
