If I could have one wish come true today, it would be that people stop posting untrue and false posts that hurt others and hurt rescues. The social media witch hunts and posts have gone to a new level recently it seems. Its heartbreaking to see it every day. Rescues have a hard enough time - Processes, paperwork, applications are all a part of adoption, regardless if it is a foster, the person who begged the rescue to take in the dog or who it is.... Its a legal obligation as a 501c3. The ongoing posts and rants serves no purpose and will ultimately only hurt the person doing the posting. I pray for peace one day in rescue. As a part of this, I am stepping away for a long time and have had discussions with our wonderful president, Tina Austin on this already. I am still with Codys and will continue to care for those in our rescue and help with events, however, I will not be pulling anymore dogs or finding new fosters unless it is for those in our rescue and already in need. I will be cleaning out my friends list over the coming weeks, so many on my list I have never spoken to but tag me constantly - please do not be offended if you are removed. Anyone is free to continue posting on my rescue page, Sadies Song. Do not tag me any further please on urgent dogs.
