If I had a stack of cash I would start a 24 hour Public Safety channel. It would feature shows of police officers helping people. It would show the impact of the job on their lives, their families lives. There would be shows about the journey to earning a badge. I would also their struggles. Police are human and nowhere near perfect. I would also have 1 minute commercials of police officers making bad decisions. Officers that do not deserve the trust given to them. Why only a 1 minute commercial? The reason is that in our nation my uneducated guess is that much less than 1 minute out of the 1440 minutes in a day we have dirty cops but if you watch some news channels it is a nationwide epidemic of rogue police officers roving their zones like the Walking Dead looking to take your civil rights away from you. Report the bad ones, get rid of them, but dont piss on your first line of defense. If there were military groups doing the same thing would you report them as one sided? Hell no because the nation as a whole would turn on you. My fat ass probably broke the soap box but I will now give it back.
