If I had to go back and do it all over again, I would not have bought my home warranty. The company they sent, four times, failed to fix the problem. And tried to sell me a new system outside of the warranty. They were going to send them a fifth time, but I said no, because they dont know how to fix the problem. So I had to open up a new claim in order to get a different company to come out. I am already $660 into this ($400 for the warranty, $200 for a tuneup with a can of cleaner and $60 for a service call). Warranty company claims repair company said they could not duplicate the problem. I sent them a video AND one of the times the serviceman came out he DID duplicate and acknowledge the problem. Unfortunately, the repair company told the warranty company they couldnt and I cant prove it. I am just livid...trying to deal with it. They wanted to send that repair service a fifth time and I said NO. I want a different company. Another repair company is going to come out and the first claim is going to be closed as fixed. Warranty on my house? Worst decision I have made in a long time. Its just an avenue for a bait and switch to sell new heating/AC systems. I hope I will change my tune if the next company is able to fix my clank-clank noise that is keeping the neighborhood awake. It sucks that the repair company lied and said they couldnt duplicate the problem. Once, they sure did.
