If I had unlimited funds I would be in grad school. Tomorrow, the Idealist Grad Fair hosted by the Tulane University Payson Center for International Development is from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the LBC Qatar Ballroom in New Orleans. Representatives from 60 schools from across the country and around the world are looking forward to meeting you! If you are interested in expanding your options make time to find a program right for you. FAIR DETAILS idealist.org/view/fair/6Z2gPz2z9SsP/ SOME USEFUL TIPS Give yourself plenty of time to get to the fair, especially if you are traveling by car. We would not want you to miss out because of traffic or parking issues. Standard dress is business casual. Check the list of grad schools attending the fair in your city to research and prioritize those that interest you most. This way you will have time to talk with the admissions representatives and make a good impression with well-informed questions. If you have them, bring a stack of business cards or address labels (even homemade ones) with your email address and areas of interest. They will save you time filling out information request cards, and recruiters appreciate them because they’re easy to read. Bring a bag to carry any materials you may collect, such as brochures, course listings, and (sometimes) candy! When you come to the fair, you will receive a handout that includes the most up to date list of participating schools, ordered by how they are arranged in the fair space. SPREAD THE WORD Have friends who are thinking about grad school? Invite them to join you at the fair!
