If I have have offended anyone regarding my previously posted and now deleted comment the I apologise. Having been accused of encouraging people to seriously breach UK copyright laws. I wish to defend myself. What I am trying to do is display peoples photographs within a public building, to give them an opportunity to display their own photographs and a chance to tell the story around the image. This is a community pub with a very artistic patronage. As the world around us changes forever I wanted to make sure that we remembered our heritage. The only reason I mentioned selling prints is because some posters are professional photographers they may wish to sell copies if a patron of the pub likes the image. This wouldnt apply to every image. I could have just gone on google and taken the images from there. Instead I appealed to the users of this forum to give them an opportunity to display their own photographs, only to be shut down rather abruptly by the Facebook Police.
