If I seem a little more on edge than normal for the remainder of the month, you should probably just back off. I will apologize ahead of time and probably afterwards. About a year ago it seems like all hell started breaking loose all around and everywhere I turned. I watched as a friend prepared to say goodbye to her mother as she lost her fight with cancer. A few short days later an long time friend started struggling more with PTSD. We prayed and watched helplessly as the family struggled to find answers, answers that may never be found. Countless trips to Louisville, calls and text, hugs and wiped tears later, we said goodbye to a great friend, a dad, son, brother, uncle and a great Soldier. In the mix of making sure that I was there for all my friends, my papaw took a turn for what would be the worse. From infantygo, pneumonia, tick fever, a heart attack to leukemia I watched as one of the greatest men I knew slipped from this world. We still have the memories, the good times and and pictures to remind us. But still no answers, why all of us at one time. May never know, may not want to know, but I do know that I struggle everyday looking and Im sure this month and the next several days will prove to be much more trying.
