If I tell people step by step how to diagnose a problem, why do they not do it how I say, or in a different order, or try and guess what the problem is? Its like being handed the answers to a test but filling in the bubbles randomly instead. Seriously though, I spend countless hours helping people diagnose their cars, most often remotely (which is frustrating) and for free. If you are asking me, you must believe I know what Im talking about. So before you ask me for help, you need to be willing to listen and comprehend what I tell you and then follow through with it. Dont go off a NASIOC post from 2007, dont send me a list of 17 things it could be, dont ask me to guess. Im literally telling you exactly what to do, the same way I would do it. Proper diagnosis requires using a logical, systematic approach. Done right, youll find the problem accurately, spend less money, and less time overall. Its that simple. Thats my rant for today, directed at noone in particular and everyone in general. My time is valuable, so is yours. Lets not waste either!
