If I turn my attention to a slight re-wording of my comprehension - TopicsExpress

If I turn my attention to a slight re-wording of my comprehension of Olson’s thought process, I become much more comfortable with his works, theories, and even personal life. I remind myself of the recurring presence of INDUCTIVE reasoning in Olson. In “Human Universe” Olson spends much time elaborating on this reasoning: “[I]f man is once more to possess intent in his like, and to take up the responsibility implicit in his life, he has to comprehend his own process as intact, from outside, by way of his skin, in, and by his own powers of conversion, out again” (162). The idea that reality, that the human’s universe must first be internalized before it can be externalized would make sense, being that (though the stimuli of “reality” of the physical universe come from the external world) perception of stimuli and the resulting conception of reality are internal processes.
