If Im going to share my successes, I feel the need to share some near-misses. I present: Calzone-Style Pot Pie. I had one premade pie crust and wanted pot pie. Almost instantly as I added the filling, the half-way point gave way which then worsened when the sauce was added leading to it sitting in a pool of its own innards. Well, I sealed it along the edges, patched the split, and decided to paint it in the hemorrhaged sauce. Luckily, the stoneware kept the bottom crisp, the outside had a nice eggwash finish, and, most importantly, my flavors were spot on. So, while it was ugly as sin, it still tasted heavenly :)
