If Kejriwal has his way, he will replace everything with Janlokapl. Janlokpal Act would be the constitution of the country and Janlokpal would be overarching body which will control every institutions, such as parliament, courts and Government. I am perplexed on the thinking of the people who support Janlokapl Bill. These people doesnt understand one of basic concept of liberal democracy that is separation of powers. POWER TENDS TO CORRUPT, AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY. If you create a super watchdog like Janlokpal, it would subvert autonomy of every other organs of the government including supreme court, making them virtually subordinates to Janlokpal. We are already seeing a policy paralysis in the country where bureaucrats/ministers are afraid to take decisions.
