If a Spanish-speaking Catholic family man with a Mexican-American wife and two strapping young sons shows up to campaign amongst Hispanic voters in swing states like New Mexico, Colorado, Ohio, and especially Florida—Hillary Clinton’s chances of winning those states will almost certainly mirror Wendy Davis’s chances of winning Texas in 2014. Hint: in the 2014 Texas gubernatorial election, Davis received won a mere 55% of the Hispanic vote to Greg Abbott’s impressive 44%, effectively losing the demographic the Democrats needed to win the governorship, and thus losing the election-at-large in humiliating fashion. But will my own party finally start listening to me and stop trying to analogize Hispanic and Asian voting trends to African voting trends? Not any time soon. All I can say is, don’t blame me if Hillary—who’s had a hard time being liked virtually her entire life—loses it for the Democratic Party. All Jeb has to do is make two, maybe three, appearances on Univision (which, coincidentally enough, is headquartered in the very state over which Jeb used to govern), and Hillary is done—because by then, Hillary is going to have a hard time convincing me to vote for her. #JebBush #HillaryClinton #politics #Americanpresidency #Spanish #español #hispanohablantes https://youtube/watch?v=WNnKBcKDwYs
