If a child says he is sick to a school nurse, shouldnt that nurse at least contact the parents as a courtesy. Not the school nurse take a temp say its normal and send them back to class. I might be being an ass but i just shot an email to the superintendent of schools, instructing him that the school nurse does not have parental consent to evaluate my son. That my wife or I reserve the right to determine if my son is sick or not and they are to contact us in case of ALL medical issues. We asked him before school if he thought he could make it through the first two hours because he had two big test to take today. He said yes and he would go to the nurse afterwards. The kid is a straight A student and had received the school student of the week, 4 weeks into the school year, not like he is scamming them. Arghhhh schools!!!!!!!
