If a shining beacon America must have unlimited freedom and liberty, why not include opportunity to the mix? Surely it appears some are starving chickens sitting on a mound of grain, but if that chickens family tree has been told over and over you are not to touch that for its not meant for your kind, then from whom is that chicken going to learn how to go about the obvious when those expected to teach him dont really know themselves how to go about. I see it as societys responsibility to collectively and compassionately intervene, not intervene with more threats of lessening support and blaming that chicken as being societys biggest problem. What happened to teaching how to fish?.....yes, we do and SHOULD give the disadvantaged fish, but instead of teaching how to, Im seeing much of society would rather take away the fish and leave it at that. ~Charles Weigus
