Although the number of households with guns are on the decline, there continues to be almost just as many guns in circulation as there are people living in the United States. Further, an investigation by Everytown for Gun Safety discovered an unsettling fact – one in 30 Armslist classified users has a criminal record that bans them from ever being in possession of a gun. Unfortunately, many of these guns owners are not going through background checks due to loopholes in sales online or at gun shows.
