If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God.... (1 Peter 4:11) In the verse here, the Bible teaches us that we should speak as one speaking the very words of God. As a matter of fact, that is exactly how the NIV translates this part of 1 Peter 4:11, If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.----------Simply meaning this, Lets refer to bible things in bible ways, Lets call things what Gods Word calls them. When we refer to the church, why not refer to it as the Bible does? When we refer to the preachers and teachers, why not refer to them as the Bible does? For example, When we refer to brothers and sisters in Christ, Why not referring to them as Christians (Acts 11:26, 26:28 & 1 Peter 4:16)? Or as Saints(Colossians 1:2)? Theres no place in the Bible where members of the Lords church were ever referred to as Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians, Adventists, Jehovahs Witness, Episcopalians, Mormons, or any such terms! Preachers are never referred to in the Bible as Reverend such and such! They were never referred to as Father such and such! They werent referred to as Bishop so and so, or Arch Bishop so and so! They were simple referred to as either ministers (1 Timothy 4: 6). or evangelists ( 2 Timothy 4:5). Why not refer to the church in the same way that the Bible refers to it? It is called the church, or Body of Christ (Colossians 1:18 & 24), The house of God, which is the church of the living God ( 1 Tim.3:15). When referring to the church collectively, (that is), congregations of the church in a given area, The Bible refers to those congregations as The churches of Christ (Romans 16 :16). Paul speaks of the congregations of the Lords church in the city of Galatia, and he refers to them as .....the churches of Galatia ( 1 Corinthians 16:1). These were congregations of the churches of Christ in the city of Galatia.--------YES, Why not refer to Bible things in Bible ways.....Why not Speak as one speaking the very word of God? Will you do that, Shouldnt we do that?---------WOULDNT THIS STOP ALL THE CONFUSION IN MATTERS OF FAITH AND PRACTICE? Lets try it my friend, can we do that?
