If any of you use prepaid phone plans you should check out this article. We have been using LG500G phones through Net10 (prepaid) for several years now. I tried two years ago to switch to a Motorola smartphone. It would not work at all in Olpe and poorly in Emporia. I went back to the LG non-smartphone. Last week I bought a different Motorola smartphone, the Moto E. It gets about two bars AT BEST in Olpe - barely 1 at 1x in the house - but works fine in Emporia. It is getting sent back. This article really clears up how the prepaid market works and how you can find a phone that works in your coverage area. When I enter our zip code or Emporias on the Net10 website, it indicates that we are in a Sprint or Verizon coverage area and offers phones based on that. Our LG phones that work PERFECTLY wherever we take them - and Ive had mine in all four of our neighboring states - are an AT&T homed phone. So today I ordered an LG phone that is AT&T homed and I am hoping that it will help me get with the times. I know a couple of you who use prepaid. If youve ever had coverage issues check this out. And for real - from my experience, AT&T seems to have supreme coverage in KS and all four bordering states. For those of you who pay hundreds of dollars a month for cell plans, you should know that you can get the same coverage - texts, calls, and data - for $40/month for a single line. Something to think about. prepaidphonenews/2011/12/how-to-get-tracfone-net10-or-straight.html
