If anybody needs a lesson in how NOT to chair the meeting of a governmental body, watch tonights Gainesville-Alachua County Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization meeting. The Chair filibustered for much of the first 1.5 hours, filling the room with her utter contempt for preparation or knowledge of our purpose. Even with the minimal number of members present for a quorum, we accomplished fifteen minutes of business in a three-hour meeting, while tying up $1000 per hour worth of bureaucrats whose eye-rolling at the inanity was the only entertainment.
