If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or a sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence. 1 john 3 : 17-19 This morning our church, First Institutional Baptist Church in connection with the Friday Night Outreach Service and the Rev. Foster and his family presented to our guest a Thanksgiving Dinner fit for a king and and a queen. We served almost 500 plates for Thanksgiving Dinner and we gave away blankets, clothing, free hair cuts, eye glasses. We had over 100 volunteers and people from all over the city came by to provide entertainments such as dance and other stage acts. Our Reverend Ragland brought a powerful message for our soul where many came up for prayer. Many churches around the country have elected not to feed, cloth and give shelter to those in need. But our Pastor Stewart made that clear in our church mission that this was a priority. Folks we all can do better in being a blessing for someone. Why not try now?
