If anyone is looking for a great deal on a top-notch gaming keyboard, the Logitech G19 keyboard is available from dozens of stores in Lamington Road, Mumbai, for a price far lower than FlipKart or any other online store: CompareIndia shows a best price of Rs.10,995, while I picked up mine brand new, with bill and warranty, for Rs.6,600 last week. Various stores quoted prices from Rs. 8000 down to Rs.6500, and I am sure I could have bargained it down to under Rs.6000 if I were paying by cash. The secret seems to be some huge consignment of this particular keyboard having shown up in Mumbai, soon after Logitech released the G19s, which is a pretty trivial upgrade to the G19. I love the keyboard: Backlit keys with the lighting color programmable (including colors changing with the music playing on your PC), and a small full-color display on board, with many useful free applets to display various things on it - you can even watch YouTube videos on the keyboards display itself. Also, like Logitechs other premium segment (G series) gaming input devices, the keyboard is great for non-gaming use, sturdy and robust - good enough to survive my rather brutal pounding on the keys.
