If anyone makes fun of me for watching both new episodes of Masterpiece Mystery—Miss Marple last night, I will punch him OR her right in the ol kisser! I mean, it was a Marple Rock Block! And next weeks third episode is an adaptation of one of Christies oddest mysteries, Endless Night! Theyre incorporating Jane right into the damn thing! (They also fit her rather neatly into a Tommy and Tuppence mystery a couple of years ago! Isnt that thrilling?) Oh, and if you were wondering whether the doily Ive been tatting still has me wanting to munch on eight penny nails and mutter prose modeled on that of Rabelais, the answer is...NO!!! Why, that doily is practically tatting itself! Next thing you know, it will be antimacassars and christening gowns! There wont be ANY stopping me! Forget about Christo! Ill tat a Reichstag cosy!!! At any rate, theres nothing like a cup or two of chamomile tea, a tepid foot bath, lavender pastilles at the ol elbow, a good workout with a tatting shuttle, and a double helping of Miss Marple to finally make you feel like the strapping, follically-challenged forty-nine year old man you always knew you were meant to be!!!
