If anyone wants to see the ultimate example of efficiency differences between Government and the Private Sector, fly Mil-Air into Afghanistan... And then try pure commercial flights. Guess who gets you from your home of record to your duty station from the time you walk out of your house in 22 hours, versus a full week of bullshit? Thats right kids... Private sector all the way. Why? Because time is money, and a positive service experience is what keeps the money flowing. With Government, short of a revolution there is little pressure to do anything with a sense of urgency or the most efficient way possible, because what can the taxpayers do to the Government workers? Why do you think the DMV sucks so bad? Hell, it took me longer to fly 200 miles from Kandahar to Farah with Mil-Air than it did with privatized flights coming from the States, and to Farah.
