If anyone who filmed the proposal last night can upload them to Youtube, i would love that. I have non-Facebook friends who want to see them if that isnt an inconvenience or a rude request. And thank you again to the Prescott Park Arts Festival and to the cast, crew and production staff of Shrek who were so selfless and kind, warm and loving to let me take time away from your curtain call last night to share that moment with Erica. I know some of you dont know me well other than through the show,, and some of you didnt know Erica at all... but now you know us both and are part of our lives in a unique way. Your patience and selflessness over the last week, especially last night, was so touching and genuine, and I can never really repay that kindness....only pay it forward. My main reason for auditioning for Shrek: this year was to propose, since I was going to propose last year during Annie and then worried that I was rushing into it (seriously, ask the production staff.. ). But then, along the way, I got much more attached to Shrek and the people in it than I had planned, even though I was more unfocused than Id been in any other show, more in pain, more exhausted and had no business committing to such a long production this summer. I was just not at my best when it came to doing this show... but you know what? I dont regret a minute of it... not just because of the proposal going so well thanks to your generosity, heart and love, but because youre now a part of our ever-growing family. Youre warm, funny and I wouldnt trade this summer for the world (even though were all ready to drop after todays matinee). If I was in any way so out of it last night or today that I seemed ungrateful, self-absorbed, unkind, rushed, curt, unintentionally rude, panicked or anything ese: I promise it was unintentional: I truly dont remember much about last night other than that feeling of freezing up when I looked into Ericas eyes last night and forgot everything I had planned to say. Thank you for putting yourselves second so that we could have our moment. Now, let us put ourselves second for some of you anytime. You made our summer, and our lives, that much richer just by being who you are. Now, go hydrate, rest and have some ice cream... no partying tonight (yeah, right... buncha freaks....) Love, Hoar
