If anyone wonders why am so brutal about politicians selling our assets, heres a quick example. Sydney airport had a black out today. Flights have been cancelled & even when they finally got the power back on, people were given water & thats all. The traveling public is now in turmoil. The airport last year made a profit of over a Billion dollars. Thats a loss that has to be made up, mainly thru taxation. If the billions they made from these sales went into, say, housing commission homes, it would be a replacement income. It would create a platform for young people to kick start their lives with manageable debt & prevent real estate prices from going thru boom & busts. They dont even build roads anymore. They get some private mob to do it & charge us a toll to drive on our own soil. They do it, ladies & gentlemen, so Mr Baird can look sternly into the camera & quack This is not acceptable. Ill allocate $7.5 Million into a Royal Commission on airport blackouts.. Thank you sir, pass the buck please.
