If every 18 minutes someone commits suicide and every 43 seconds - TopicsExpress

If every 18 minutes someone commits suicide and every 43 seconds someone attempts to, why do you still feel the need to tell someone they are worthless, not good enough, or should go kill themselves? Dont you have enough going on in your own life? What gives you the drive to even want to make someone feel that way? You hate them? They arent good enough for you? They scare or weird you out? They dont wear designer jeans? They post statuses that obviously scream help but instead you think it is attention seeking? You dont have a good enough reason. So stop, because you are giving them a reason. You dont know their life, what goes on in their head, what they see or hear everyday.. Stop. Youre not cool. Youre looking for attention that could and will lead to suicide. Imagine you are standing on a dock with a ton of ropes on it. Its kind of hard to walk over them to get to the end of the dock, but once you get there you feel better because the view is amazing. All of a sudden a huge gust of wind knocks you into the water.. Unlucky you have a rope that got itself tied around your leg and this rope is attached to an anchor. Youre scared and its getting harder to breathe, and it is getting darker. Now you can try to swim back up, but youll only exhaust yourself. You can try to untie the rope, because it isnt that bad. Or you could do nothing and wait for someone to save you.. Now you can probably see the best choice in this scenario, but someone with depression or another mental illness may not see the best option. Still dont get it? Check out this video. m.youtube/watch?v=XiCrniLQGYc If you are dealing with depression or another mental illness, just remember there is help and youre not the only one.
