If everyone could just take a second and realize, today marks 25 years since the Berlin Wall came down. I remember watching it on the news while we all huddled around the corded phone, talking to my family in, what was then, West Germany. That was probably the first time I realized how oblivious Americans were to the rest of the world. It was a heavy day for us, but no one else in our small town even seemed to notice.
