If humans wish to diminish anthropogenic climate disruption and prevent our own extinction, we will not only have to stop the degradation of the living world, we will have to transition to a way of living that restores the ecological foundation of our existence. Agriculture—as practiced in California and across the forty percent of Earth’s land mass that it exploits—feeds humans now, but it simultaneously undermines our future. Read more:
