~If i dont~ If i dont answer the phone, text, email or private message you right away...it doesnt mean i am ignoring you. That you arent important. I learned 3 years ago...how to prioritize. The night my dad passed away...i had Pippis first litter...Paisli being from that litter. Puppies were 4 weeks old. The night my dad passed...i was having tea with him over the phone. We had talked much about my usual concern about finding the puppies the very best of families. We talked about many things that night...and kept getting interrupted with my taking calls...as i was screening new people. I had the strange feeling to keep phoning him back...and i did. That night he passed away in his sleep from a blood clot in his leg that moved. I forever will be thankful that i kept phoning him back...that i listened to whatever it was that insisted i do so. But...i will forever regret that i put him on hold...to put someone else first. That is the last time this side of heaven i will hear his voice...chat stuff over with him. Technology is wonderful. But we live in a society of instant gratification. NOW!!!!!!!! Im sorry...but when i am talking with a person...that person is important and the only one in my NOW. I will not put you or anyone else on hold...or phone later...just to please everyone. If i am rocking a puppy...a phone call, text, or email can wait. Life is to short and precious to be tied to pleasing everyone. And...fyi...not a single person i interviewed that night passed my approval for a puppy. I should have just chatted with my dad...and tended to them later. Later for my dad...became never. In the end...that precious litter of puppies became so socialized as they filled our homes and hearts in the weeks after my dads passing. We couldnt have managed without them. One puppy...was named after my dad..Yellow Rose Country Kennels Theodore (Teddy). And...he didnt become grandpas little hunting dog...but he became a couple of little boys best buddy. He is the most amazing cuddler. That litter went to all first time doggie familes with small children. And I know my dad is smiling down from heaven...winking and saying...see ya shouldnt worry...it all worked out...and this journey taught you a huge lesson.... If i dont... I am in the NOW with someone I love...and that someone might be you!
