If i were to tell you that as a Christian you would not go through trials, tests and other things, then i would not be telling the truth. The truth is this. If you truly and genuinely serve Christ with your all, people will hurt you, lie on you, backbite you, and doing other mean and cruel things to your character, self esteem and how you see yourself in Christ. If i told you that people love the truth, and that they are eager to hear what you have to say, i would be lying. I am not talking about the lukewarm, professing Christian, but i am referring to the REAL CHRISTIANS. If you are for real, prepare to be alone, prepare to be silenced, prepare to be put down, prepare for being called names, be prepared to be stabbed in the back repeatedly and prepare to be friendless, lifeless and without any support or backing. I know how my life is, and i know where i have been, i know what i have gone through, i know who dislikes me, i know who hurt me and how, and i know that i am treated like the plague. Shunned, abandoned and neglected. I know the rewards of the ministry. I tell you that, if you are poor, if you are hungry, if you are broke, know that you are doing the right thing. No matter how depressed you may get, keep serving the Lord. If nobody backs you, dont let it get to you. Having Jesus in your life is more important than having a position, being an assistant or anything else. People will push you away, and thats just how it is. Know you are doing right, and that God is not punishing you. Its just a result of being an honest and moral individual with values, standards and convictions, and Church people hates that. Realize you are not a Church person. You are a member of the body of Christ, and you are a part of the temple of Gods Holy Ghost, and you are part of the tabernacle of Christ. You dont need them. Move forward, and stop thinking that Christianity is going to make you popular, or that its going to make you money. That is not so at all. Be ready to lose everyone and everything that you have ever had. Count it as a blessing, because that is what it is, a blessing. You are a soldier of the cross of Christ, and dont pay attention to people who dont appreciate clean and Holy living, and dont worry about those who turn you away and reject you. None of that matters. All that matters is that you are honest and sincere, and they can say and think whatever they want.
