If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. I Corinthians 15:19. Last night my family watched on DVD the movie Gods Not Dead. The story centers around a young man challenged by his Philosophy Professor to prove that God is real. The Professor claims to be an atheist. When I read these words written by Paul it reminded me of the great hope we have in Christ Jesus. Our hope is not in this world, not in this economy, not in this political system, and certainly not in man made religion. Our hope is in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Our time on planet earth is temporary, but our time in eternity is forever and forever. When we lose a friend, or a family member who is a Christian to death, we grieve because of our loss, but we rejoice because of their gain. No, our hope in not just in this life but in the eternal life that God has promised to those who believe in Him. Do you believe in Him? If not, you are just one simple sincere prayer of repentance away from the saving grace of God in your life.
