If it looks and quacks like a duck it might be this wolf in sheeps clothing. Robertson is no more Christian than I am but hes become the extreme Rights new authority on Christian morality. I put that in quotations because its not morality at all but a kind of corrupted bigotry wrapped in a blanket with religious symbols decorating a course fabric. This bastardization of Jesus teachings began taking root around 1974 with a group called Maranatha and grew during a successful advertising campaign stating the curious phrase I found it. It kind of went South during the 1990s because people had money and wanted to play, but the Federalist Society, led by Reagans original AG (Ed Meese) and financed by the infamous Kock brothers, nursed it into our war years. War provides much better soil for morality and this was part of Ws desire to invade Iraq. Dick would make a lot of money and the Federalists (not to be confused with the Federal Govt but certainly using the power of it) would finally begin to grow. They did, like weeds, and have now fully corrupted the Party which nourished them. Now the weed, ironically, has become their hope of salvation. But its not a weed that remotely resembles Christianity. Proof of that is in the fact that Jesus is only mentioned as a name for God. Only the Old Testament is ever referred to as the moral teacher, not the words or deeds of Jesus himself, and Christianity is not derived from the OT. They replace Jesus with a Golden Calf called Jesus. Whats waiting for those who demand acceptance of the Calf and take it into their hearts? Disease, slavery, impoverishment, and physical decay. Thats why there was a need for a Messiah to bring humanity out of the Old World. A Messiah who would save us from those attributes that had already become manifest. The shiny gold of The Federalist Society has taken the new cast of a duck. It is now being sold to those who guard the gates of society (the people of society) by this angry, ill tempered, soft spoken Patriarch. Dont buy his fetid lies or think we can ignore him. The consequences of doing so are born out in 4950 years of tragic human history.
