If life was a stage play, then scenes would be written and the events we encounter would be listed as acts. The beginning and the end would be known to us for we would have the script from which we would learn our lines. There would be rehearsals and therefore, no surprises. But, life is simply one ad lib after another and we play out the story as it happens. We do not have the luxury of knowing what act is coming next, and the scenery around us changes as life dictates. We simply stand on the stage and deliver our lines. When something horrific occurs we cannot ask the director to cut the scene or alter our lines. We simply absorb it as best we can and get on with life. When the final curtain descends, we will take no bows, answer no calls for an encore. Instead, we will exit stage left or right and enter a new theater where our life is not the center of attraction. In this arena, God is the star and we will be His audience. Love and joy will be the theme and the play will go on forever. I cant wait for Act One to begin. God bless.
