GlobalMedic/GlobalFire Cross Canada Rapid Response Team Training Day Mission in Canada October 2013 In October, GlobalMedic and GlobalFire will run their second annual Rapid Response Team Cross Canada Training sessions. These sessions are for GlobalMedic and GlobalFire volunteers in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. If you live in a neighbouring province or territory, you are welcome to attend these sessions. These training sessions are a prerequisite for GlobalMedic and GlobalFire deployments. If you are not a GlobalMedic volunteer you can sign up here. If you have already taken part in a past GlobalMedic/GlobalFire Rapid Response Team Training sessions, you are welcome to take one of these courses as a refresher. Recruits will spend the day rotating through interactive stations that will train volunteers on emergency water purification, medical infrastructure support and deployment procedures. There will also be a station run by GlobalFire. The training sessions will take place in the following cities on the following dates: Manitoba Chapter Location: Winnipeg, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Training Academy, 2546 McPhillips St. Date: Sunday, October 20th Time: 8:30am - 4:30pm Alberta Chapter Location: Calgary, Cochrane Protective Services Centre, 20 Grande Blvd, Cochrane Date: Wednesday, October 23rd Time: 8:30am - 4:30pm West Coast Chapter Location: Vancouver, Justice Institute of British Columbia, 715 McBride Blvd, New Westminster Date: Saturday, October 26th Time: 9:30am - 5:30pm The cost of registration is $50.00.
