If my timeline and work on Facebook has served to broaden my mind enough to admit loves that I have hitherto felt afraid and even ashamed to admit, and even proclaim them from house-tops, my time and effort will not have redeemed me. If my timeline and work on Facebook has served to question presumptions and assumptions that debilitated my ability to perceive beauty, order and truth in my own neighbourhood and surroundings... If my timeline and work have quenched and fed, my thirst and hunger for beauty, order and truth, exactly where I am, without having to cross the seven seas and without having to make flights of fantasy.... Even as the seas and flights I made in my mind have enabled me to recognize how the poorest of the poor craft beauty into their lives in the choice of shades and colours that they dress their heads and shoulders and waist-lines with... helped me to see the artist and the photographer in the back-bone labourer, the street-sweeper, the homeless men using their psychic abilities on the rich all for free, the mason, the rick-shaw puller, the unsuccessful carpenter, who makes a festival of grimness with the gravity of his gait and visage... If my timeline has helped me find my love... So be it! Gratitude for all the energy that flows into my entrails via my perceiving senses and for all the experiences that I am not... gratitude for all the capacities and skills that I have been privileged to develop with the love and knowledge shared with me in clincis, classrooms, domiciles and street-based conversations and exchanges... Gratitude that is insistent on shaping my future... So be it. So be it.
