If no one has noticed, stores all over the country continue to close their doors. Local and small family owned being the majority. Even some of the big franchise like K-mart and Target. Ill tell you why. Its because of that giant store you call WAL-MART. The store is literally so large that other businesses cant compete. A couple of semesters ago I wrote a research paper about this topic. Wal-mart treats its employees completely unfair. They make a crap wage, and their benefits are crap. They dont allow the employees to even get the hours they need to qualify for the health care benefits. The CEO makes almost as much money in one HOUR then a regular employees does in an entire year. Do you ever wonder what happens to a huge portion of the jobs? They are sent overseas. Most of the food is brought in from overseas because farmers in the US cant compete with the prices that wal-mart wants to pay. Ever wonder why Toys R Us is no longer? They are now babies are us because Wal-mart had more square footage to devote for selling toys. My point is pay attention to whats going on in the world. Try and help save these local businesses. Im talking about the businesses that started this country. Have I shopped at Wal-mart? Sure I have, but after educating myself about this huge problem I can ensure you I havent since. If you dont agree with me then lets hear what you have to say on the matter because I can do this all day.
