If one belongs to a majority group and finds it comfort to defend - TopicsExpress

If one belongs to a majority group and finds it comfort to defend the majoritys accepted practices of exclusion and marginalization of the minorities, then one does not belong to the reign of God. When one begins to keep oneself and ones mind outside this majoritarianism and thus speak for the minority within and even outside, then one becomes a prophet to challenge both majority and minority as well. When one begins for stand with and fight for the minority though one belongs to a majority group, and succeeds in enabling the minority member/s to stand at par with the majority, then the true meanings of the reign of God is realized through this one and in ones context as well. This can happen in the context of gender or caste or race or religious or linguistic or any other issues. If one is the follower of Christ, this is not an option but a mandate to take upon this yoke at all costs! I use the following versus metaphorically - using children as representative of minorities within Matthew 18: …5And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; 6but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Deut 10:19 And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt. Lev 19:32 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God. 33When a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.… I am not sure if one is a Christian or people of the book or follow Torah, then on what basis one is discriminating the other because they are small or less in numbers on the basis of their identity?
