If one deeply studies colonial history of India one would come to a conclusion that Britishers not only looted economic, scientific and cultural wealth but the very source behind it - The Sanskrit. They understood that in Sanskrit lies the answer as to why this civilisation was the economic power of the world for 1700 years. The nineteenth century(1800 -1900 AD) was a golden age of Western Sanskrit scholarship as they call it, and many of the giants of the field Whitney, Macdonnell, Monier-Williams, Grassmann spent their lives studying it and translated all scientific wealth of this land. Here Britishers school kids are chanting Sanskrit mantras at Buckingham Palace. Had they sone so if they thought we were a backward race - a White mens burden?? No! Today, the West is learning Sanskrit and Indians are busy with Yo Yo Honey Singh :)
