If one were to reflect Jammu&kashmir state has been suffering from Dutch disease,but of a different kind-in the entire 1947 period now. Once a heaven of ideas innovations enterpreneurship and global yrade in arts crafts goods and agruculture products,our ditch disease manifests in the windfall of government jobs desytroying innovation creativity and enterpreneurship. The term Dutch disease was coined way back during the year 1977 when Netherland flurished on gas exports but in this process of getting advanced it backlashed and manufacturing nosedived thereby enterpreneurship and innovation declined. Some 300000 brilliant men and women with qualification ranging from PhD,s to matric(10th) wrote exams to compete for 12000 jobs in government departments. For such a large number of educated youngsters aspiring for a job that would feytch Rs 3000 for the first 2 years and it represents a creitical state of despiration- an economic disease to be precise. A labour earns Rs 350 a day and therby earns more than a would be government servant will get. This is really a Dutch disease and our youth must gaze on private sector and prosper and leave behind the habit of following government jobs.
