If only I had known, this world is nothing but an illusion Would I have ever run after my desires? Now that I have no way to go Why wouldnt you become my shield? I have discarded my affairs with everyone Look I am at your door Would it be fair of you, to turn away from me? You are my conviction, my belief My beloved Shall I not be looking for your face? What would Intellect do, Or why would I brag about my caste? My being nothing, is everything I have, I carry along Shall not I be restless, and wait for your gaze? I am not among those who call themselves sahib-e- Imaan Sahib-e- Deen I am not, Would you not bless me then? Wont my trying atleast do, a liitle of shake in your heart? The station of love - the maurifat, is yet so far Shall I not be diturbed, all restless Should I not be turning all through the night and not be able to sleep even for a while? You have left me here, with this map The water of my eyes has blurred this view You say, you are there. where? The revelations smell of promises, Smell of hopes, Smell of trust, Why wouldnt you become my guide then? Why wouldnt you become my shield?
