If only I knew. But I probably would have sent them to school - TopicsExpress

If only I knew. But I probably would have sent them to school anyways because I could care less what they test. The testing at this level only gives the school funding and have nothin to do with the childs actual intelligence. Thats why they created this slowed down curriculum. Take a look back at what we had to know at the grade level that they are and find out that every generation is getting dumber. I dont mean to be offensive but we have conceded to not disciplining out children and teaching them right from wrong. We have a generation of teens who think the world owes them because they are in it. And now we have schools who care more about makin money off of testing rather than actually teaching. By now Damian should be learning some history and past multiplication but theyre still adding. Yes still adding in second grade because the common core is a bunch of made up bullshit math. And my boy is bringing home failing scores because this stuff is so remedial and stupid that he is having a hard time dumbing his brain down to understanding it. The only reason why they still go to school and learn it is that when they come across it they dont get so confused that they fail. Im 35 yrs old. Im great at math and the common core is too remedial for my higher thinking brain to comprehend. But those who are not good with math somehow understand it. Good for them. But dont make it mandatory and make my son fail because his brain works at a higher level than the rest of the district. And the district fails to provide a gifted class for him. But if he were mentally handicapped he would be classified and helped immediately. Because hes smart, he is the child left behind. Total bullshit I need to live in a district that has a gifted class that isnt taken away if the politics and voting doesnt go their way. Pay the administrator less. Tell him to lease a Honda rather than a Beamer. And help the kids who will one day amount to something.
