If only we can read minds! I would like to read the mind of BSAquino and his pronouncements that he is now in favor of cha cha, when before that word was not supposed to be mentioned within his hearing distance. He wants to clip the powers of the SC - that is the lamest excuse anyone can give. Clip their power so he can do as he pleases - like an absolute monarch. He had already destroyed congress by buying most of its members; likewise other institutions. Time and again he would repeat that he will never entertain a second term and is just counting the days till his term ends, but now he says he must listen to his bosses who are prodding him to take another term. These bosses - those who benefit from his largesse cannot afford to lose the duck that lays the golden eggs. But his real bosses. the common tao are not part of that group that is urging BSAQuino for another term. What has he achieved so far? If our memories serve us right, what he has achieved so far are controversies after controversies. He has outdone all other presidents in terms of controversies - making us poorer by the minute. I hope some powers would present themselves to tell BSAquino that enough is enough. His popularity is going down so fast - but dont be surprised if in a months palace handlers will declare that his popularity has returned to normal - and all thanks to their manipulative tactics. Congress idea of a cha cha was for economic reasons - to repeal some provisions that deter our economic progress. If cha cha is open how can BSAquino not be a willing pawn to extend his term - now that he holds the loyalty of Congress; Comelec, COA and other institutions. He cannot even account for the monies that poured in for the Yolanda rehab! Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.
