If people get offended if you establish boundaries against their abusive words and actions, that says more about them than yourself. Even if you are left all alone, does not mean you deserve to be all alone. Jesus doesnt leave any of us all alone because He sees our value and worth. He has the final answer. You may feel alone, but you really arent. So, if you feel all alone, or as if everyone has rejected you for standing your ground on something that is important to you, or refusing to be someones doormat, consider it a blessing. They did that to Jesus too! You really are not alone, and a true friend would comfort you and let you know this instead of telling you that its all your fault. No, its not your fault ! If any person is left all alone in tears, its the fault of those who are insensitive and dont recognize your human dignity. No matter how many mistakes you have made, you are still a valuable beautiful creation made in Gods Image, worth Jesus dying on the cross for! Gods purposes for you for love, companionship, and community remain always, no matter what anyone says about whether they think you deserve it or not. Jesus never said we have to earn it.
