She earned her BFA in acting from Arizona State University, and went on to appear in As the World Turns, Law & Order, NBC Nightly News and ABCs 20/20, as well as the film You Dont Mess with the Zohan. Maysoon co-founded the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival in 2003, which is held annually in New York City and showcases Arab-American comics, actors, playwrights and filmmakers.
