If the State of Palestine were now a member of the ICC, thereby giving the court jurisdiction over war crimes committed on its territory or by its citizens, and if the court applied the same principles to the current Gaza massacres which it has applied in indicting African political and military leaders, the indictments of Prime Minister Netanyahu and the top Israeli military leadership would be, in American terminology, a “slam dunk”. Of course it was pressure from the U.S. that caused Palestine to NOT become a member of the Court.
