If the majority community is intolerant, hostile, cruel & - TopicsExpress

If the majority community is intolerant, hostile, cruel & uncompromising, the minority communities are gradually annihilated, as evidenced from the happenings in Iraq, Syria, Pakistan & Bangladesh. But if the majority community is ultra-liberal, self-oblivious, nonchalant & callous, the minority communities become vociferous, aggressive, violent, militant & subversive. This is more so if there is connivance from the people wielding political powers. The neologism ‘minoritarianism’ means just this. It may not always be a pattern of vote-bank politics as is the case in India. Europe is more enamored of its image as the holder of secularism, liberalism & democracy. However, secularism & liberalism are rational virtues & as such those practising these virtues are destined to be losers in the face of unbridled aggression from communities having no respect for rational value-system. See how absurd proportions the excesses of tolerance may reach: 1. “Norwegian women must take responsibility for the fact that Muslim men find their manner of dress provocative. And since these men believe women are responsible for rape, the women must adapt to the multicultural society around them.” – Dr. Unni Wikan, Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo. 2. EU Commissioner Margot Wallström denies that the problem of rapes by Muslim immigrants exists in Europe, or even in her own country Sweden where rape is only second to Nigeria due to immigration policies she and others like her support and create: “Ahhh well, that is just… it just sounds completely mad. I don’t know… it doesn’t sound sane [laughs]. Well I don’t know where those [rape] figures come from.” The demographic proportions are going to be disturbed very soon through unbridled propagation, conversions & mass killings. The universal humanists, who are basically non-theists & have no stake for their cultural heritage, may then very well embrace the religion of the conquerors for a peaceful & comfortable living. But apostasy may not be in everybody’s blood. There are people for whom religion is much more than worship. Religion for them symbolizes history & identity, something by which one can connect with a cultural heritage. What will happen to them?
