If the previous greeting was an afront to those stupid goats in Perkasa and Isma, this is straight from my heart. Before that allow me to relate what Christmas was to me. I had a friend Christopher Gomez, may god bless his soul. We were classmates and very close. His family lived directly opposite my house on church land with exceptionally large compound. This was in Taman Sentosa Bukit Mertajam. Every year a few days before Christmas, Christie, as he was dearly called, his Christian friends and I would go caroling. They needed me because I was the only one in the group who played the guitar. No, I was not paid. I did it because they were my friends. On Christmas morning, my 2 elder brothers, Ah Hin, Ah Bin, Kesu, Devu and some others would head straight to his house for breakfast which was mainly putu mayam and idli with chicken curry. It was fun all the way. At night we would open a few tables in his large garage and beer was free flowing. Yes, I do admit to enjoying the fire water when I was much younger but quit on the 1st of January 1981 as a new year resolution. This year would be the 1st year Christie would not be celebrating Christmas coz he passed away on the 24th of May. May God bless his soul. Well so much for what Christmas meant to me. To all Christians, have a Merry Christmas and take it easy on the fire water ok. For those travelling home, drive carefully. Have fun.
